Global IPv6 Forum Press Conference and Jim Bound IPv6 Award Ceremony Mr. Latif Ladid

Mr. Liu Dong

This session features an Award Ceremony presented by the IPv6 Forum and The China IPv6 Council, where the Jim Bound IPv6 Award will be extended to three outstanding organisations in China which have contributed to the deployment of IPv6. Mr. Latif Ladid (IPv6 Forum President) and Mr. Liu Dong (CEO of Beijing Internet Institute), both are partners in the EXCITING project, will host this session and the press conference. An overview of the EXCITING project will be given prior to the Ceremony. Grand Ballroom 3, Floor 5

Expected Outcomes

The conference will serve as the first key project event where the project partners and its Advisory Board members interact directly with and get the first-hand information on IoT and 5G development in both the EU and China from its target stakeholder groups (research community, industry, policy makers, media, general audience, etc.). It will raise awareness of the importance of joint actions and collaboration, collect useful inputs for project activities in terms of standardisation, testbeds and LSP specifications and best practices, as well as valuable opinions on how the project can move forwards to best support and facilitate concrete collaboration in the near future.

The conference will be followed immediately on the next day with a non-public, intensive Round Table discussion between the invited speakers/experts and the project partners on concrete ideas to move forward on bilateral cooperation in the fields of IoT and 5G.

Public presentations from speakers, major outcomes of the conference and highlights of the discussion of the Round Table will be made available within the event proceedings that will be published on the project website.

We look forward to having you on the journey of creating a better, more cooperative environment for the Future Internet, raise your voice! Join us in Beijing this March! Register here
